Rain, Rain, GO AWAY!

While we were all excited about the rain at first, it lost it's charm pretty quickly for us dog owners. Besides the mud that is constantly tracked in the house and the dogs {coughLUKEcough} that refuse to go outside to potty, everyone is starting to go a little stir crazy.

Obviously, our first suggestion is to come hang out with us at Dirty Dog and treat your dog to a spa day! It's dry in here and if your dog is going to be inside with you for the next who-knows-how-long, at least they could smell good!

After Fido is all spruced up, our friends over at Keep Austin Dog Friendly has compiled a very comprehensive list of dog-friendly restaurants and shops around town--just coordinate your lunch plans and errands with these businesses and you're all set!

Of course, not all dogs {coughLUKEcough} love the big Texas thunderstorms as much as we do.

The pet section on WebMD has some pretty good suggestions on things you can try. Of course, if you've ever dealt with this, you know that works on one dog, might not work on another--don't give up!

Do you have any tips or tricks that have worked to calm your dogs down during storms (or fireworks?) My only real trick is to leave really loud music or tv on. They're noises that my dogs are used to and seem to drown out the rest!

My friend's dog, Eastside Johnny REALLY doesn't like thunder. Poor, bubby.
